International Artist Grand Prize Competition (IAGPC) 2021, the largest art competition in Asia, announces its finalists: 388 artworks are accepted among 4,342 entries from 82 countries. IAGPC has become one of the most influential and the most important art competitions around the globe.
IAGPC is organized by Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association (TICAA). The winning artworks are exhibited every year during the course of Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.), the biggest art show in Taiwan. Its Art Director, Prof. Lee Sun-Don, aims at promoting individual artists to Asian and international markets while connecting Taiwan to the global art market.
IAGPC is welcoming, inclusive, equitable, and professional. It has become the largest art competition in Asia within a decade. Artists over eighteen years old are eligible for an application with no limitation on the theme. The highly competitive IAGPC has drawn artists from one third of the countries of the world, e.g., the US, the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, India, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Belarus, Ecuador, Lebanon, Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
IAGPC is welcoming and inclusive. Anyone over eighteen years old is eligible to apply.
388 works made their ways to the final this year. All of them demonstrate cultural and artistic style diversity, such as realism, abstractionism, magic realism, deconstructionism, surrealism. All accepted entries will be exhibited for sale during Art Revolution Taipei 2021, from May 14 to 17, 2021. The Grand Prize and the Chairperson Award winners will be announced on August 31. The Grand Prize winner will receive a solo booth in A.R.T. 2022.
Many artists have gained international attention since the debut of IAGPC. Kurma Venkata Siva Prasad, Grand Prize winner of IAGPC 2015 and an Indian self-taught artist, is highly praised by art collectors and has become a rising star of Asian art market. Mustafa Yuce, one of the IAGPC 2015 Gallery Awardees and a Turkish artist, received massive press cover and exposure.
Many artists have gained international attention in previous editions of IAGPC.
Many of the finalists of IAGPC 2021 are internationally renowned artists or outstanding emerging ones. Marta Argentina Garcia Suarez has won art prizes and has held many successful solo and group exhibitions in Spain and Russia.
Nigerian-British O Yemi Tubi (Moyat), a creative and unique artist, has won many art prizes and was invited in Art Olympia 2015. He was entitled "Top 60 Contemporary Artists" in 2017 and 2018 by an Italian art magazine.
Vitaly Leshukov Soldatov started his art career on the age of 47. His art talent was awakened by a serious car accident. He regained consciousness after being in coma for five days, imposed with a strong desire to compose art. He started to receive attention in a short period of time, and thus joined many exhibitions in France, Spain, Switzerland, Russia, and Belgium, and held solo exhibitions in Barcelona, Spain.
Ozgur Akti was born in Turkey. His father is an art teacher, and which lets him have early access to colors and paints. Akti's art talent was spotted by his art teach in elementary school, and he started to pursue further art education. He was invited in International Watercolor Biennale, 8th edition, A.R.T. 2019, Antalya Piano Festival, 16th edition, and Vakif Bank Headquarter gallery exhibition.
Juca Maximo, Brazilian illustrator, is well-known in the commercial industry. His passionate works consist of aggressive yet attractive colors and are immensely powerful.
Since its amazing debut in 2011, A.R.T. introduces an innovative philosophy of "Placing artists front and center", breaking the gallery-centric norm of international art shows. The show is designed and organized around artists, and every booth stands as the artist’s solo exhibition. A.R.T. is an iconic, impressive, and people-oriented art show with an amazing closing rate per capita from 80% to over 90% every year. A total of 497 artists participated in the 2019 edition. 22 artists completely sold out among the 448 artists who achieved closed deals.

Calling all talented artists: The International Artist Grand Prize Competition (IAGPC), the largest art contest in Asia, is now open for submissions to compete in this prestigious event. Artists from any country, ages 18 years old and above are qualified and may apply online for free.

Furthermore, award winning artists from IAGPC 2021 will be invited to exhibit at A.R.T. 2022, receiving additional international exposure and attention of art collectors at this world-class annual event.
All accepted artworks will be exhibited for sale in Art Revolution Taipei 2021.
The International Artist Grand Prize Competition (IAGPC), the largest platform for art exchange in Taiwan, is jointly organized by the Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association (TICAA) and Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.). Adhering to the philosophy of Prof. Lee Sun-Don, Art Director of A.R.T., our mission is to promote individual artists to both Asian and international markets, and allowing Taiwan to be a bridge to the global art market.
Since its debut in 2012, IAGPC has been the largest art competition in Asia, attracting artists across five continents every year. In 2020, IAGPC attracted artists from 82 countries, with 334 artworks accepted among 4,337 entries, including works from established artists.
The winning artists will be invited to exhibit works in "International Artist Salon" in A.R.T. 2022.
IAGPC also provides international exposure to emerging artists. Many of them have gained both collector and market attention through their previous participation: Kurma Venkata Siva Prasad, a self-taught Indian artist, was the winner of IAGPC 2015, received high praise from art collectors. He has subsequently become a well-recognized artist in Asia. Mustafa Yuce, a Turkish artist, was one of the 2015 IAGPC Gallery Awardees and received massive local media coverage in Turkey. August Vilella, a Spanish surrealist, was the winner of IAGPC 2018 and Chairperson Award. He has participated in exhibitions in Louvre, France, and won Art Fair Tokyo's "Best Artist" and Dubai's "Global Art Awards 2017". Wang Wei-Chiuan, was the IAGPC 2019 winner, and his sculptures were greatly loved by collectors at A.R.T. 2020.
International Artist Grand Prize Competition 2021 is now calling for entries until October 31, 2020. The finalists will be announced on November 30, 2020 on the official website of Art Revolution Taipei: www.arts.org.tw. All accepted entries will be exhibited for sale in Art Revolution Taipei 2021, from May 14 to May 17, 2021. The winners of the competition and the Gallery Award will be announced on August 31, 2021 on A.R.T.'s official website. Winning artists from IAGPC 2021 will be featured in a booth sponsored by X-Power Gallery in the “International Artist Salon" at A.R.T. 2022.
Art Revolution Taipei’s (A.R.T.) innovative approach of "Artists at the center of the exhibition stage" by providing a solo exhibition for each artist under the meticulous curation of Art Director Lee Sun-Don. This unique artist-focused model has made A.R.T. one of the top international art fairs.
Consequently, Art Revolution Taipei has become the most successful art fair in Asia. Since its debut in 2011, A.R.T. has brought established artists from all over the world to Taiwan while also providing an international platform for emerging artists to showcase their talents. A.R.T. has impressed the art market with average artist sales of 89.66% in its first year. After ten years of hard work, artist sales have consistently reached over 80% ~ 90% every year, and in 2019, a new record of 497 artists participated in the fair.
