Asia’s Largest Scaled Art Competition, the International Artist Grand Prize Competition 2022, announces its Finalists! There are 328 pieces of excellent artworks outstand themselves to compete for the Grand Prize.
The International Artists Grand Prize Competition (IAGPC) 2022, is a world-class art event organized by Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association (TICAA) in affiliation with Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.). There are 4,258 pieces of artworks entering the fierce competition in the globally well-known IAGPC 2022; artists from 76 countries bring their creative artworks in diversified styles to compete for the Grand Prize, the winners will be granted booth spaces to exhibit at A.R.T. 2023.

The chosen artworks will be exhibited during the Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.) 2022 from May 13 through May 16, 2022, the coveted Grand Award and Gallery Awards will be announced on August 31. Organized by the Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association (TICAA) in affiliation with the Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.), this competition upholds the Art Director, Professor Lee Sun-Don’s concept to connect Taiwan with the global market, and to select outstanding artworks from excellent artists around the world for promoting to the Asian market.
There’s no limit on the participating themes, to include diversified creativities and embrace different cultures across five continents. Artists over 18 years old are eligible to enroll, with the fair and rigid jury process in place, which facilitates the Grand Art Competition to become the largest-scaled art competition in Asia after 11 years’ dedications, and to attract artists around the world to compete. Even though the marco-environment seems to be locked by the epidemic, but the creative energies deep inside artists are explosive to trigger the active participations in presenting unique artworks full of creativeness, including artists from USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Japan, and India, as well as Armenia, Bengal, Bhutan, Belarus, Afghanistan, Georgia, Ecuador, Lebanon, Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The physical art exhibitions have been heavily impacted by the epidemic with the dramatic downslide of sales, the A.R.T. offers an online preview and presale to catch collectors’ attention, a platform for artists overseas to be seen.
Some artists selected in 2022 have been renowned globally, and their artworks are collected by museums and awarded heavy-weighted prizes. Among them, Mustafa Yüce from Turkey participated multiple international exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at the Musée du Louvre in 2016. Adrian Lis from Romania won the first prize from the XIII Florence Biennale 2021 in the theme of “Eternal Feminie‧Eternal Change.” The Italian Artist Gabriele Luciani exhibited his artworks in the exhibition “Antico presente l’Accademia disegna”at the Vatican Museum from 2017 to 2019; some of his artworks are included as the public collections at the European Museum of Modern Art(MEAM) and the Vatican Museum. Adrian Kinyua Nduma is from Nairobi, Kenya; his artworks are collected by the President from Kenya and celebrities in Nigeria, and two of them are inlayed at the President’s residence and the entrance of the Parliament House in Kenya.
Those selected artworks focus on the warm-hearted humanities during the pandemic, to present the arts to be enjoyed beyond the limitations of time and space. Adrian Lis grew up in 1980s, in the prime time of global capitalism, the onset of the social media, the prosperous politic revolution and the era of hip-hop music; his artworks depict people under the influences of complex and complicated cultures. As a contemporary artist, Adrian Kinyua Ndum cares about various issues, and his work topics are range from the Nature, wildlife to the social commentary; he exhibited his artworks in Kenya, Mainland China, Zanzibar and Dubai; he serves as the first chairman of Kenya National Visual Artists Association, in which exhibits artworks associated with lobbying, the Government, and other social issues.
Mustafa Yüce concerns for the real values deserved to be supported from the social vanities; he analyses the real images of the outside world with his inner realm, the theme of “the real reflection” surpasses the law of causation, and makes a fictitious association for events and facts, so that viewers encounter the naked truth of “discrimination and acceptance.” Gabriele Luciani ‘s mythology-themed artworks are represented with connections to the Baroque and Victorian styles; the vibe and decorations inspired from the Art Nouveau movement as well as the Arts and Crafts Movement are commonly visible. He reveals the variability and unpredictability of the human mind via his artworks.
