Furthermore, award winning artists from IAGPC 2021 will be invited to exhibit at A.R.T. 2022, receiving additional international exposure and attention of art collectors at this world-class annual event.
The International Artist Grand Prize Competition (IAGPC), the largest platform for art exchange in Taiwan, is jointly organized by the Taiwan International Contemporary Artist Association (TICAA) and Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.). Adhering to the philosophy of Prof. Lee Sun-Don, Art Director of A.R.T., our mission is to promote individual artists to both Asian and international markets, and allowing Taiwan to be a bridge to the global art market.
Since its debut in 2012, IAGPC has been the largest art competition in Asia, attracting artists across five continents every year. In 2020, IAGPC attracted artists from 82 countries, with 334 artworks accepted among 4,337 entries, including works from established artists.
IAGPC also provides international exposure to emerging artists. Many of them have gained both collector and market attention through their previous participation: Kurma Venkata Siva Prasad, a self-taught Indian artist, was the winner of IAGPC 2015, received high praise from art collectors. He has subsequently become a well-recognized artist in Asia. Mustafa Yuce, a Turkish artist, was one of the 2015 IAGPC Gallery Awardees and received massive local media coverage in Turkey. August Vilella, a Spanish surrealist, was the winner of IAGPC 2018 and Chairperson Award. He has participated in exhibitions in Louvre, France, and won Art Fair Tokyo's "Best Artist" and Dubai's "Global Art Awards 2017". Wang Wei-Chiuan, was the IAGPC 2019 winner, and his sculptures were greatly loved by collectors at A.R.T. 2020.
International Artist Grand Prize Competition 2021 is now calling for entries until October 31, 2020. The finalists will be announced on November 30, 2020 on the official website of Art Revolution Taipei: www.arts.org.tw. All accepted entries will be exhibited for sale in Art Revolution Taipei 2021, from May 14 to May 17, 2021. The winners of the competition and the Gallery Award will be announced on August 31, 2021 on A.R.T.'s official website. Winning artists from IAGPC 2021 will be featured in a booth sponsored by X-Power Gallery in the “International Artist Salon" at A.R.T. 2022.
